How Much Does It Cost to Hire a Hypnotist? (2026 Fees)

Hypnotist fees in 2026, from a working hypnotist who publishes his own: what a stage show, a corporate keynote and a private session cost, what drives the price, and what is included.

Summary

Short answer: it depends on the format, and most hypnotists will not tell you until you email. I will. My corporate keynote, the #1 Mindset Keynote, is $4,000, plus $1,000 for travel, for rooms of 5 to 400 people. That is the number a booker actually needs, so it comes first.

The rest of this page is what drives the price for any hypnotist, so you can read a quote intelligently.

What a hypnotist costs, by format

Across published fees, the 2026 ranges look roughly like this. A local stage hypnotist for a private party, a school event or a club night: about $1,500 to $5,000. A corporate entertainer or keynote hypnotist with a track record: $5,000 to $15,000 and up, plus travel. A private hypnotherapy session: $100 to $500 an hour, with a few well-known names charging far more. Treat these as orientation, not quotes. The only exact number on this page is mine.

My keynote: $4,000, plus $1,000 for travel. Sixty minutes, adaptable to 45 and 30, for 5 to 400 people. An Event and Retreat Package, which builds hands-on workshops and live stage hypnosis around your event, is priced per program.

What drives the price

Format. A keynote that teaches something costs more to build than a pure entertainment set, and a full theater show costs more to stage than a 30-minute spot.
Length. Most fees cover 45 to 90 minutes. A second set, a workshop or a full day changes the number.
Audience size. Bigger rooms need more stage time to screen volunteers, more AV and more risk management, so most hypnotists price in tiers.
Travel. Flights, a hotel and a travel day are either itemized or folded into a higher fee. I itemize: $1,000.
Customization. A talk tailored to your team's goals takes a call and preparation. Mine is tailored to each organization, and that is included.
Language. A show or keynote delivered in your audience's language is rare and priced accordingly. I work in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Mandarin.

What is included in my fee

The #1 Mindset Keynote in full: a warm up with a light group hypnosis, how hypnosis works, the installation of the four pillars (Line of Sight, Embodied Communication, Metacognition, Asking for Help), each with a short live hypnosis, and a closing full-group deep hypnosis. A call beforehand to tailor it to your goals. Travel is the $1,000 line from New York, so there are no expenses to argue about afterward. The venue provides a wireless microphone, and that is the whole rider. Lead time is 4 weeks; shorter is possible for a premium.

How to get a straight quote from any hypnotist

State the format you want (keynote, stage show, private session) and the date.
Give the audience size and the room: theater, ballroom, offsite, online.
Ask what the fee includes: length, travel, a pre-event call, AV.
Ask for video of a real room, not a sizzle reel.
Ask what happens if nobody in the room is responsive. The honest answer involves screening and a plan B.
